How to use these files.
These articles summarize my results and observations of 25+ years of personal
research/experience with various vegetarian diets. As I have a strong
background in chemistry, engineering, and general systems analysis, this
information is a lot more credible, powerful, and useful than most current fad
diet books written without chemical credibility or rational analysis. Since
these concepts will challenge everything you thought you knew about human diet,
I'd strongly suggest that you read them in the following way.
Get a large spiral college notebook, and in one half keep a running list of
questions, comments, requests for more detail, counter arguments, etc. that are
keyed to the text; that is, when you read something that prompts a question,
write a number in the text and that same number in the notebook with the
question. That way, all your questions are keyed into the right location in the

Since this information is very powerful and compact, and it seriously challenges
every concept you have been programmed to believe by an incredibly diseased,
clearly self-destructive, and profit-oriented culture, read all the material at
least three times, as you will get a deeper understanding from each reading.
In the other half of the notebook, keep a Food Log; a running account of
day/date/time, things eaten, quantities, and all physical (energy level,
headaches, runny nose, clogged sinuses, skin eruptions, body/fecal/breath odors,
menstrual details, coatings on tongue, ...) and psychic (intellectual clarity,
emotions, nervousness, irritability, strange dreams, ...) phenomena. This will
help you to understand how certain 'foods' or combinations of 'foods' affect
your body and mind. Also, it will keep a record of, and help you to understand,
various 'cleansing reactions' caused by your body expelling large amounts of
years' old toxins that have accumulated internally from eating the cultural
diet. In order for any stored toxic material to get from the cell in which it
was stored to the toilet bowel, it must pass through the blood stream; while in
the blood, it will affect the functioning of the brain, your consciousness, and
your energy.
The first major step in serious dietary reform is to totally eliminate
_everything_ from the animal kingdom: meat, fish, birds, eggs, dairy and dairy
products. Next, eliminate beans, nuts/seeds, tofu, -- all sources of
concentrated protein. We simply can not digest concentrated protein, especially
if it is cooked. You can do any of this overnight, or step by step. A move in
the right direction IS a move in the right direction. However, be aware that
the faster one improves one's diet, the faster the results occur, and the faster
and more intense the cleansing reactions become. If the cleansing becomes too
intense, eat more cooked starch for a meal or two to slow the cleansing process
and let the blood clean itself out. Conversely, if one has a couple of days to
devote to detoxification, such as the weekend, eat a high diet (e.g. fruit
juice/fruit) to accelerate the cleansing.
Pay particular attention to the information on Food Combining for Proper
Digestion: get Shelton's book on the subject. Combining foods for digestive
efficiency is _very_ important no matter what we eat, for our digestive
biochemistry is designed to do certain things in a certain way, and we must
cooperate with our bodily processes, or suffer the consequences. Not combining
properly results in intestinal gas, headaches, and poor digestion.
NOTE: these files are ASCII files with embedded printer control codes that will
print out properly on three-hole punched paper for insertion in a binder. The
control codes are for my Cannon Bubble Jet, but should be fairly standard. Use
the DOS PRINT <filename> command.
The three filename.GEM files are graphics files for the Digital Research GEM
interface. They are "Fat and Protein Content of Various Foods and Stomach
Commodities", "Meat Consumption, grams per day vs. Colorectal Cancer Rate", and
"Death Rates From Cancers for Japanese Immigrants to California". The latter
two belong in the Scientific Arguments article, in the Meat Eating Causes Cancer
Argument, just after the statement: "The following graphs (20) are presented to
make that argument." GEM graphics software is somewhat obscure, so check your
Sysop to see if s/he can provide a conversion accessory to convert them to a
form you can use. Registered users will get hardcopies of these graphics.
The two major articles, "Beyond Vegetarianism" and "Scientific Arguments", are
presented here in a truncated form and consist of the first 1/3 of the entire
article. This in the 'try-before-you-buy' spirit of shareware (sharelearn??).
This is certainly enough for you to determine if you are interested in obtaining
the entire articles. If so, and you want the entire set of articles on floppy,
